I have always had some sort of fascination about golems.I have to say that they are one of my favorite
fantasy creature. Still... i never draw them.
The golems from World of Warcraft have a really neat design
and had me inspired. I realize that i havn't submited something for about a month
so i guess i will revive my page with this image of a Golem.
I also wanted to try something new so instead of going from bright to darker i went
from dark to brighter. This one was a pleasure to draw.

Wonderful execution of pencil-smudging, the golem's shading is textured well like stone! Even if it is from Blizzard, it's an awesome tribute!

wow, I love the detail you put into the rocks forming the Golem's body. Sadly, my parents won't let me get WoW. So I haven't played it. /-\

Ah, very beautiful. Nice shading and coloring on the runes. Looks like an exact replica. I'm trying to figure out which golem it is though...since they come in so many colors. I just know it's not the one in the Searing Gorge.
BTW, do you ever submit to the Blizzard Fan Art Section at worldofwarcraft.com? You'd definately make it.

In my culture, this creature is called Nunyun'nunwi, or dressed in stone. It is said that he was slain by 7 women and when he was burned alive, he sang into being all the medicines, songs and rituals of my people.

Great piece, I think that runes on the shoulders are very well done. I am a little confused about what you ment when you said that you were going from dark to light instead of light to dark. Well I'm off to see the rest of your gallery!

An classmate of mine from art class once brought the art of World of Warcraft. It came with his purchase of the game, and from looking inside the pages I sooo wanted that book. Blizzard has some really awesome creature and character designs.
As for your rendition of a Golem, that is really-really awesome
