I really, really love this!

I like the combination of textures and I love the retro feel of this image. The contrast of her head piece looking like a birdcage and her dress seeming like a bird. This will sound a bit strange but when a lot of photographers pose people like this, it reminds me of them squatting in the wilderness to potty. Yours does not do this. My apologies for saying it but I think it's important. It works here because of the way her dress falls. I really like the black and white here, I feel like if it was in color it would not tell the same story. I don't feel like her skin is too soft here, very nicely done.

The only two things I would change would be the skull. It is the highest contrast point in the image so I'm drawn there first. I think if the skull were more lifelike and not glowing it would enhance the story you're trying to tell. The other change would be to crop more of the top of the image. I feel like that space up there is very large.

Overall, fabulous photo!
