I would say it's not the strongest plot i've seen in Ghibli animations, yeah...it was pretty light hearted and didn't particularly make you think too much.
It's hardly 'Grave of the Fireflies' in how heavy its message is, haha.
I must have been in the mood for something light-hearted when I watched it!

Decently, spirited away, or how's moving castle was better.
I dont want but it just lacked a little something, I don't know what but your right it is good for people that don't like a lot of action and stuff like that, thought it was a little funny I suppose.
