Description My son's former Nikon D3000 is a bit more resolved than my ancient D40. I've nearly doubled
my resolution MPixel range. YA hoooooo!!! This is a bird seen all over Minnesota...

Great shot, I imagine a lot of patience is needed

Ya, I suppose. Focus is THE challenge. I'm hand-holding
a 300mm lens, focus is narrow, and the birds are constantly on the
move...so when to press the shutter is paramount. THANKS for writing...
and all the FAVing!!!

They are THE acrobats of the bird world. I'm sorry the
Nuthatches and Downy Woodpeckers don't come 'round much.
They used to....

We have lost our larks, swallows and house sparrows.People have got plastic guttering and roof facia boarding and there are no holes for the house sparrows to nest in!!

Yes indeed, humans have such an impact on the animals.
We're getting more coyotes in Eden Prairie. People are cautioned
to keep an eye on their dogs and very young children.
Animals need their space too....!<  /b>

Everyone in Minnesota knows this bird...year round.
They have to eat 10 times their weight daily in our Winters...or perish.
On the credit side, they don't weigh anything!

THANKS MUCH...richard
