Description Oddly, my son had nothing but praise for this*...abstract.
I had been working on transferring (black) gesso ~ from
plastic place settings, to watercolor paper and then on to
another sheet of watercolor paper. In this particular attempt
(and it may well be my ONLY attempt) I cleaned up the general
riding the bull, grabbing onto his tail, and the bull, himself.
Then I added some body color etc etc. May not be me, but it's
different.
rcg
*Probably the first rise I've gotten out of him in 350 deviations.
And when I say Praise, I mean VERBAL praise.

If you know about Georges Mathieu (abstract artist), it reminds me a bit of him. But pretty cool, too. I like it very much. Dear Mister, please try new techniques ! It works really well with you.

Thank you AINI...it's certainly is a blind
step into the unknown (land of a multiplicity of
techniques). I'm working on a piece right now
which isn't going well, and I'm ready to do
something drastic ~ like leave it out in the
rain,( if it would only RAIN! HA HA HA)
or throw a party for failing artists! I appreciate
your comments, as always:

Steps to the unknown are always highly recommended, Dick
Have a great weekend!

I have the same trouble....not an artist lover in sight !!!....You are so lucky Dick!.......Sometimes it's the riot ones that give awake up call to watchers!

Ya...we please ourselves, and to a large degree, I feel fortunate
to be connected to dA. My son and I are complete opposites, in most
respects, esp the arts. He is now a graduate in psychology...and he may
have 'seen' a Rorschach test in the making here. Who the !#%& knows?
I cannot figure him out!

Again: thanks for noticing!!! dick g

Are artists a little mad Dick?...In the middle of cooking a meal i noticed the Hollyhocks were beginning to flower....and I got a piece of watercolour paper out...and some watercolour powder paints and started painting !!...Then I thouight i'd better get on with the cooking!!!!!

Perfectly normal, although you may have to eventually give full
priority to the meal ~ depending on who you're cooking for and WHAT
you're cooking! You're just devoted, not even a little 'mad.'
