THANKS Again....the train never broke over 35mph, so . . . everywhere
one points a camera in Alaska, one gets a pretty nice landscape.....
Regards and take care...

It is a mixture of very finely ground basalt and peat by products. think glacier feed for the ground basalt

I believe our guide(s) mentioned basalt.
No fish in those waters.....

Photos are my dopamine. They all help me to remember.
What an awesome hobby is photography. So glad my daddy
gave me a camera when I was seven.
And...we always remember the days of our travels.
Sincere regards: Richard

I was always grateful that the train wasn't traveling too fast.
It takes almost 8 hours (!) to travel about 125 miles!!!
Only on the darker days did I have to "clone" out reflections from
the train's interior lights...and rarely. THANKS so much...

Yeah, Ingeborg...we were there on the cusp of the changing seasons, and the most populous
trees are the Aspens and Birch (whose leaves never go beyond yellow in color) and the deciduous, mostly
Spruce and Pine. They were pretty far along in changing in this shot. But is was cold and damp, most of the
4 days we were in the park ~ 35-40ΒΊF and a penetrating wetness in the air, for which my throat suffered!
Thanks for writing, hey WOW!!!....
hugs from richard

I'm always glad the artists feel as you do. I don't feel these photos are
'Museum Worthy' but definitely "Sharing Worthy." I never lose sight of the the
idea that WE REMEMBER the DAYS WE'RE ON VACATION...ie TRAVELING to
distant lands, really. All the rest seem to merge one into the other. And I'm not
crazy about THAT latter idea. I'm just sad I'm not as good a traveler as my wife;
her home is where she hangs her hat!

I love to watch travel photos and watch tv programs about traveling, but I am not a good traveler myself lol.
