I've just returned from 3 days on the North Shore of Lake Superior, in company of my wife and son, home from Seattle.
Alex returned to me a 70-300mm lens, which he just hasn't been able to find much use for. So, I've been working with it.
My next few deviations will probably include some of my favorite shots. We stay at one of the cabins owned by the Sve family,
a place I've returned to, long before I was married and now with my family. The elder Sve and his son are one of six fishermen
allowed a netting license, to take fish from The Lake. They sell the mostly herring and Lake Trout to restaurants alone the
North Shore. As the fish are delivered filleted, there are plenty of very tasty entrails, which are daily thrown up on the rocks
outside the boat house. I always go down to greet the father and son team, and take a lot of pictures....but especially exciting
are the waiting gulls. The many hundreds of them get their fill of fish, during the season. Here's a few of them, one of them
'Crapping his Pants' overjoyed with the feast to come. Who knows what they eat in the winter season! RCG
