Description V was a cancer survivor, and then, a cancer victim. I made a lot of friends during
my years as an advertising aft director ~ generally suppliers, such as photographers and illustrators
and their reps. V was the wife of one of my favorite suppliers, and I remained a friend of the
family...until she finally gave in to cancer. Then, the family disappeared from my life. This piece
was done at least 10 years ago, and I have chosen not to post it, until now.

She was a wonderful gal...and I really
miss the friendship of her husband, who just
didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore.
Thanks again for your great comments!

Beauty as always.
I think i can share your feeling.
There're many friends that i truly love (not the friend with $$$). But one day, because of some accidents, some changes, they're disappeared. Not only the face, but also anything that connected to them. The phone number is still available, but i don't have enough brave to make any call.
That's sad.
But luckily, all the memories that we shared together, still remained. And the paintings that i drew for them, too.

THANKS for sharing your gut feelings about this issue.
I'll know next time (ha ha ) that if somebody offers me 'friendship'
just because I offer him a job (like a photo assignment) ~ I'll be
all the wiser. There's an old saying in this country:
"THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH!

I think it's mostly true.
Thanks for writing to me...

THANKS So much Trish!! If you read some of my above responses,
you'll understand how perplexed I was with THIS particular relationship.
Most art director/supplier relationships are based on a $$$$ bond. After
I go away, they go away too. Nobody called me, to see how I was doing...
except for this particular friendship...until V died. That ended it.
So glad you like it...and thanks for writing, as usual..a hug:

In general, being systematically removed from my career was quite perplexing...now with the school bus thing, less perplexing...dick

Yeah, Bear...THAT particular relationship has had me wondering,
even to this day. Read my response to Stefy, above!

THANKS Kang. Yeah, I must admit, I miss a lot of those friendships.
[See my above response.] But, as a school bus driver, I'm with a lot of
people most days, half of which are young people who put a lot of
wind in my sails. Most days.

Thanks much, Stefy. It's always scary
for me to post this kind of piece as it's ~ first
of all ~ personal...and then my Poser skills are
not the greatest. I'm so glad you responded
positively! THANKS AGAIN...

you are welcome, i think that you should share these moments of your life  and life of your friends and find the positive side in it

I'm happy to say, that as a Deviant, I probably share more than most do,
on their submitted pieces. (So many titles I DO NOT understand!!!) Truly, most
relationships have a CREDIT and a DEBIT side to them. Many 'business friendships'
are (sadly) based on $$$$. The fact that I hired someone to produce an image for
me and the client, well, outside artists LOVE the business. Only natural. But in this
particular case...I was left wondering. I shall, as you say, remember the positive
side to it. Life moves on. We must also move on.

THanks for writing, Stefy!
