Description This is a painting from which I made a printout on Epson Radiant White W/C paper. Then:
I began to 'finish' the painting by applying paint to the PRINTOUT,....something I do NOT recommend. The subject
is one of my favorites, and taken from a Fin de Siecle 19th century photograph. The original painting may be seen
on my Facebook time line wall; this is one of favorite Snapseed versions.

Very nice, I love the blurring at the edges and the fine detail in the middle. Is that Godzilla right there in the centre, helping unload? Β

About painting on the Epson paperβ€”were your issues with the paper itself, and its coating, or how the watercolours react with the Epson inks?
I hate that radiant white paper, with its 'optical brighteners'β€”I've had much better results with the Epson cold pressed natural paper on my 3880, which needs much less colour proofing, but I've never tried to actually paint on it.

The blurring may be part of the SNAPSEED filter. About printing paoers....having any luck is a bit of a crap shoot. I'll try to remember one of my favorites. Best to try printing out on REAL WATERCOLOR PAPER, hot pressed is smooth of course ...BUT USE ONE THINNER THAN 140"...that's Β too thick to run thru my printer.Β

Β This came out looking really neat! It's so texture-y, kinda like a film that the projector is burning
You know, I had pretty decent luck printing line-drawings off and doing inkwash over them, I imagine that'd
be easier than applying paint to color prinouts Β
