The longest exposure was 3sec.. was a little dark in that part of the room.

yes.. 200iso.. I shoot HDRs with the nikon D70, smaller sensor so greater DOF at low Fs... My partner shoots on the Canon 550D & has to wait the 30sec.. she gets a little frustrated that the D70 can bang of a large range of exposure with good DOF so quickly.. Mind you I only use the D70 for HDR.. takes crap photos..

ah yes thanks for the info

i shoot HDR with my D7000 most recently but before that i used the D90
there cheep but they take amazing HDR and regular shots
personally i LOVE the D7000 ... i own a D300s and a D3x and the D7000 is my favorite of the group
i have worked with canon cameras in the past and im never working with a canon ever again XD

the D7000 is a nice camera.. I thought the same about the canons.. we use 550Ds mainly for video work and it looks amazing.. Beats my $17000 HD Sony z7 in quality, dynamic range & has beautiful DOF.. Saving up for a D3s for photography as I have seen some pics from that n' I am pretty impressed.
Love your IRs by the way.. does the D7000 not have a 'hot plate' to stop IR light? my D70 does not do IR well.. for that I use my old nikon coolpix 4500 3.2mega pix.. I was under the impression that most cameras after about 2005 were crap for IR..

i was surprised by the video capability of the D7000 .. for one it has 2 SDXC slots capable of up to 4tb of storage (once the 2tb SD cards come out) than the full 1080P continuous 30 FPS shooting and the external stero mic connector and the hole thing you can use the built in level to keep your shots level
the D3s is an amazing camera ... heavy as hell but its still amazing as an all around camera

thanks! i have a hole bunch more IR shots i took today
it has a hot mirror but its just strong enough to take great shots with allot of sun and just weak enough to take decent IR shots with minimal time
with an R72 filter and it being 32*f out it took a full IR shot in 2 seconds (for my D90 it would take close to 20-30 seconds) at iso 250 and you can even see it in the liveview and i was shocked by that so it does take amazing IR shots
in the summer it can probably do it in 1/4

ill be uploading 4-5 IR shots tmro if you want to to alert you once there up
