it's interesting how grapheme-processing interferes with color-processing in the brain!

right, no animal - whatever kind of eyes they have - can be confused by such a thing... nor children before they read, i suppose.

yes. and i was thinking about something related to that the other day. the NSA considers itself completely free to suck up communication with one end outside this country. all my email with you, with Hanan, with Farhad when he was in Iran before he came here for school - all on a server somewhere. Instant Traveler postcards! images from Hanan for our books! so invasive, so absurd.

very definitely. it's going to be so hard to undo. the NSA is building a facility in Utah that can store a yottabyte of data. i had never heard that name before. a trillion terabytes, 10 to the 24th power. they're not going to stop building it...
i suppose the hope is that it will be like the cold war, eventually. we still have all these nuclear weapons and so has Russia, they're not good for anything anymore but they haven't been dismantled yet. maybe someday the NSA mainframes will be that way. not soon though...

it is not that i don't believe in the human rights and democracy issues. i was trying to think of something on a similar scale that had ever had an acceptable outcome (in the cold war case, no nuclear war despite all the preparations for it). and the time frame is going to be similar, i'm very afraid. there is no gap between our two political parties on surveillance. only a few politicians are speaking out. and it's not the kind of issue that will get people into the streets. the whole thing is just terrible.
i write letters to my representatives in Congress and they reply to me that will "balance" privacy and security as they do their best to keep america safe. safe! america is its own worst enemy.

If we enter multiple times - do we re-enter after the first entry?
And if black is blue when DO we find that elusive sigh of relief???
The questions to answers ... what do I win Alex?

so you can do transfers also with masking tape?? or is it over a collaged print?

RichardLeach In reply to TeresaClark [2013-05-05 21:01:36 +0000 UTC]
that's right, this masking tape is thin and one can do transfers with it. i have had thicker ones this would not work with.

Good one. I like the "opposing" type at the bottom, blue is not blue and that tiny little touch of red at the top keeps everything from flying off the page.

Thanks much, Ken. I wasn't quite sure about this one but it felt done, and I was thinking that those things you mention were working. I appreciate the comment.
