Thanks, Harry, much appreciated!

This reminds me I should do something with acrylics again, I haven't in a while. There's always cardboard around

yes, I've done that scale a lot but if you're making the fine distinction, they have been ATCs, I haven't sold any [link]

I have sold mine, but not traded any....I have given some of them away though..lol.

I am more into creating than collecting, I guess..

Me too
I only began doing art "seriously" in 2009 after joining dA - had done various things on and off through many years for myself. At the moment I am content with sharing online (and self-publishing my poetry books). Maybe will sell somehow, or exhibit, at some point in the future.

Theta is the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet, derived from the Phoenician letter Teth Β· Phoenician teth.svg . In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 9 (wiki)

A measure of the rate of decline in the value of an option due to the passage of time. Theta can also be referred to as the time decay on the value of an option.

Just sayin'.

I love these two, somehow the pallete is kind of disturbing -cold? warm?

Another nice piece and well suited as the companion to "OR". I would like to see a tiny bit more blue like you did in the "OR" piece because my eyes get drawn to the two blue dots (maybe subtly in the upper left area), unless it was your intention for the viewer to be drawn to that area

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to SethFitts [2012-07-12 16:54:52 +0000 UTC]

Ah, thank you most kindly for the careful look and the thoughtful comment. It is my intention to have those two blue dots draw the eye, but I did think about more blue elsewhere as I was making the piece - it could have gone either way and I simply chose this.

Again, thanks - really appreciate the analytical feedback

This is excellent work. The physical scale of the words is belied by their importance (or something...can't seem to switch the articulation button on this morning).

oh gosh, thanks! i'm not very sure of what i'm doing with paint but it worked out here. i intend to keep collage elements in everything - i'm not always sure what i'm doing with those either but i've done a lot more of it whatever it is

it's the best way of working that i know (specially with collages) never to know what you're doing. it gives the best results

it does take trust. trust in - hmmmm - well, in the eye for the finished piece even if not knowing how one got there

i'm glad i do not cook the way i make collage, though. the meals would not be reliable at all
