A little scene from me and magoomafoo 's Role Play we have going. Near the start, Blaze had first confronted Smaug in her beast form during the Battle Of The Five Armies. Yes we had the timeline all messed up XD it's our own timeline now. Haha!

Anyways, here's what I drew last night while we were calling on skype. I had just finished watching the three hobbit films for a second time and I felt inspired XD. Enjoy this little battle between Smaug and Blaze!

" Smaug lifted a winged forearm and motioned towards the city of Dale. "Why do you reside with them... fight with them? Fight for them?" He nodded towards the city, which was now lit up with life and fraction movement. "They despise us. Curse us. Hunt us like animals. Why do you call them your kin, when you are afraid of them?" He tilted his head as he circled her. "I can tell, you have not shown them this side of you before; I can smell their fear... their hate... their disgust." He shook his head with a snort. "What could possess you to side with them?"

Blaze suddenly jumped up into flight, placing herself onto a mountain between Smaug and Mirkwood. “I fight for them because they are more than just humans or elves who believe that dragons are nothing but a sin.” She paused, knowing her voice was loud enough to make the Orcs and goblins pause in their charge. Even make the elves pause in what they were doing to listen. “And I know that the King has experienced things similar to my own. I regret not telling him my true form. But like you said, I was afraid. Afraid of the disapproval. That’s because I’ve been afraid all my life. I’ve been shot down, controlled, and nearly torn to pieces because I am of a beasts bloodline. Just for that alone. If I were any beast like you I would have raided and killed the entire city of Mirkwood and the elves know that.” She stopped for a moment to catch her breath, “However here I stand in front of Mirkwood and the very kind that despises me. And I, Knight’s Blaze, Queen of the Predacon race will not allow you to land a single blow to this city and its people. You may try, but I will perish if I have too to protect this city with my life. Because it is what is right.” She roared at Smaug. Opening her wings wide in a show of display and threat. “My own scales, though not as impenetrable as yours, are as tough as they come in my species, my fire burns like that of 1,000 suns, my wings and spines are that of a lightning bolt cracking once. So I ask you Smaug.... Can you take me?”
Smaug burst into laughter, meeting her in the sky. "You might be a force to be reckoned with, but I doubt you have taken on Death yet!" He roared, spreading his own wingspan, flaring his nostrils. "Well, here I am." He dove in on Blaze, opening his jaws as he went, landing a scrape on her neck. "You are a fool to believe they will change their ways! Humankind, mankind, whether Elf, Dwarf, human or otherwise-- they are stubborn, prideful, foolish! You think this will change their minds?!" He laughed darkly. "You are nothing but a naive child! They have fought dozens of dragons, all of which have destroyed their homes, their lands, their families, their lives. One good dragon cannot make up for the foul deeds of many." "
