My 100th sketch! Woohoo! I can't believe I've reached 100 already. It seems like I just started, lol. I know I'm still a little behind in my sketching though if I want to be on track for 365 by the end of the year. Still, it's nice to reach a small milestone. I decided to draw one of my favorite characters for this 100th drawing. Raven has always been a favorite of mine since I first started reading comics. She's not the hottest girl or the most unique character, but I like her back story and powers. I also like how they evolved her character slowly during the New Teen Titans run by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Her story became a classic. Of course now that classic has been beaten, redone and hit us over the head so much that I don't think they (DC) knows how to do anything else with her anymore then recycle her story. Sad. Anyway, lol, I wanted to draw her and think she turned out pretty well. I decided on her old look instead of the animated or new style. Sometimes old school is still best.

Well, DC was kinda clever with giving her a teenage body... Cuz she can't show emotion, and she's surrounded by them...

Yeah, the one thing I like that they did was de-age her. To be honest I really liked what they did with her when they first relaunched Teen Titans with geoff Johns writing. Since then though, it's been kinda lame, Cough, Winnick, cough.

Raven! Yes! One of my all time favorite characters, weather old school or animated! I love the cape and the overall ominous feel on this drawing!
