Description Shivam: Moluskoid humanoid amphibians native to the toxic planet of Ven-Tragal. A pacifistic member of the ITA Ven-Tragal is a planetary theocracy that follows a religion centered around spiritual enlightenment. All Shivam are genderless and produce via intense and painful mitosis. They fall under the protection of the Hyjillians in exchange for a share of the planetary taxes and lie in the "blue region".

Kharakai: warmongering centipede-like species that allied themselves with the Kriat-hierarchy, creating the first alliance between the Kriat and another independent empire. The Kharakai's razor-sharp reflexes and immense durability cause them to generally excell as warriors. They are native to the planet Kharak-Del and possess the milky way's 9th largest navy.

Kharnak: (awww, i just want to hug that crustacean cutie >3<) *ahem* a species of crustacean bipedal humanoids, Kharnaki hail from the planet Olomek, a world divided into arid landscapes dotted by massive seas and circular lakes with cities in and around them. Kharnaki are a compassionate and resourceful species and member of the ITA (hence you see the female Kharnak displayed up here wearing Hyjilian Imperial secretary-apparel) From evolutionary perspective they have a lot in common with Earthling-Humanity, in that they both originated from aquatic life and have no outstanding physical or mental capability (though of course also not below average) with the difference that Humanity evolved from apes, while the Kharnak evolved from crustacean arthropods.

The species mentioned and displayed above belong to me

I don't mind centipedes irl, but the Kharaki are still chilling to look at.
The face segments really make the eyes bore into the soul of the bravest space goer.

*shudders* I find centipedes even less pleasant than spiders >-<

But indeed XD imagine a squad of those, in full armour except for their eyes

Each to their own right? Though I have a new respect for centipedes after the bite.
Have I asked if they have venom like the centipedes here in Australia?

It's an image that will plague the dark corners of my nightmares.

They did at one point in their evolution, though not today anymore ^^ their saliva is still sour in taste though, since it still has abysmal traces of the venomous makeup in it (though it's about as potent as 1/1000th of a paracetamol.

I guess that they have engineered weapons that make up for that.
What biological defence mechanisms does this species have?

the Kharakai have evolved beyond that really, their chitin is still tough as three layers of boiled leather and their fangs and claws are still strong. But like Humans they have adjusted to the useage of tools, hence they have become more intelligent and versatile yet less biologically armed.
