Takahiro approaches others as he wants to be approached, with saccharine smiles and an open mind or at least, he tries to be open. He’s certainly friendly, treating everyone respectfully and hearing out their problems. Formal to a fault though, he can become uncomfortable around rowdier individuals, unsure how to handle their lack of manners. He personally finds it abhorrent (Why would anyone carry themselves with a demeanor less than perfect, after all?), but he always gives sly hints and advice to becoming a more polite person. He’ll keep most of his negative thoughts inside his head, distancing himself if he feel he’ll say something wrong although it can slip out from time to time: when people attempt to point out problems within himself as he tends to lash out or if he’s close to a person, he’s honest about his thoughts and opinions with them. Above all though, Takahiro wants to fit into the model person everyone expects of him on the surface. He represses hobbies he truly enjoys in front of others and prefers appearing only studious and beautiful, hoping for praise from his family and teachers. Negative comments linger in his mind and he’ll unknowingly alter the way he behaves to conform into what he wants the other person. The motto is to shine, but not to stand out.
[History]Nagasawa Kayo was a woman of dreams, head in the clouds, only ever coming down to weave magic between her fingers. Since youth she held a particular love for fashion and beauty whether it manifested in the form of clothing, accessories, or even people. In her spare time, she loved to draw designs and concepts of any and every theme imaginable. What many assumed to be a hobby resulted in a Kayo's decision to major in fashion at university. Only one person ever came to capture her attention in her times during school: Okui, Saburo. He was a beginning model, new to the industry and one of the few candidates who offered to partner. While she fell for his appearance, he fell for her talents. Their dates began awkward, slow and misunderstood in what they desired from the other but as time passed, they came to cherish the smaller traits in one another. Their love flourished brilliantly into a long-term marriage and a child named Takahiro.
The family of three attempted to settle down in Seiki, Kayo's hometown, however it proved unsuccessful after only a short while. Kayo was often busy in her study with designs, and Saburo was still often called out for photoshoots along with other offers. Unable to give up their dreams and set in their ways to continue making money to support Takahiro throughout the years, they decided the best decision would be to leave him with Kayo's sister Chiyo. His aunt, a single woman who lived only a few houses down, was eager to accept the offer as she never had children of her own. She took it upon herself to raise Takahiro like her own son, enrolling him in cram school when necessary and encouraging him to do well on exams and work all the time.
Unlike her sister, Chiyo considered herself a realistic person. She admired that Kayo had the talent and ability to persevere in such a demanding industry, but she wanted to sway Takahiro from following down the same path. "It's not a practical field. Your parents are only lucky they've been able to do well, but it doesn't mean you need to mindlessly follow after them. You need to be better than your parents, certain of your wealth through intellect and logic not trends that come and go." And he listened. What reason did he have not to? People only knew him for his parents, not for himself. If he listened to his aunt, if he became the best through his own means, surely people would see him for who he was.
Over the years though, Takahiro began to doubt these assumptions. Whenever his parents came home, he couldn't help but let any animosity at them for being gone fade into joy and admiration. No matter what happened, if a shoot didn't go well or whether they only sold a certain quota, they glowed of happiness. When he asked why, the answer was so simple: "We do what we love. Even if no one else likes it, we cherish everything we create and every exhibit. Besides, knowing that you're well and happy.. we can only be glad." A time of analysis began in his middle school years following these short instances. Did he truly enjoy studying? Or was he just doing what everyone expected? Mother and father made it sound so easy, but he knew it wasn't the same for everyone. Wasn't it, after all, too late to attempt to discover his own passion?
He wasn't sure who to listen to, but it ... couldn't hurt to try, right? He purchased a sketchbook and tested his hand at designs. Terrible. They were all done before or just overall unappealing in his eyes; however, Takahiro found he couldn't stop himself from drawing. He began to doodle in his spare time, working on facial structures and learning anatomy. He'd draw his classmates, animals, scenery, anything he saw. He tried to deny it as a passion, but there was a distinct smile whenever he placed his pencil to the paper. He saved up for a graphic tablet under the guise that he could use it for online note-taking more easily... and it worked! After his tablet arrived, confidence in his abilities grew and Takahiro turned to online communities as a safe, anonymous way of receiving critiques and meeting others like himself. He was also introduced to anime and manga, things his aunt often wrote off as immature and impractical. Shamefully, guiltily, he resigned to keeping his new hobbies a secret from others and from his family. It's best to be the perfect, model student over someone with mediocre talents and interests.

Uses a multitude of colorful, aesthetically-pleasing notebooks and highlighters for his notes to make them as perfect as possible. He takes so long making his notes perfect that he misses parts sometimes and often needs to cross-reference with classmates; if he rushes through it, he’ll feel nauseous if a mistake is made.
Always has some form of live wallpaper on his phone whether lock screen, home screen, or both. He finds the interactivity really cool! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

As a result, he’s never worn sneakers; you don’t want to see him try and walk in them, it’s just awkward for everyone involved.
From his self-studies in art (and observing other people), he's learned a lot about anatomy and random tidbits and facts of the human body. It's contributed to him having an eye for detail as well, so he's good with puzzles!
Gets an allowance from his parents every month. He has a bad habit of impulsive spending on clothes and art stuff (supplies, commissions from friends, etc.) though...
His favorite genre is romance despite him never being in a relationship ??? ? ??
He’s confused about his sexual and romantic orientation since he can’t tell if he’s ever felt genuinely attracted to a person or if it was just the light, their outfit, etc. He assumes he’s straight, but at the same time: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Actually left-handed, but he tries not to draw attention to it or if people ask, he’ll quickly switch to his right hand and try to prove it’s the one he was using all along.
