A free 2250 x 3155 sized version can be downloaded from my website at:

You need to sign up (for free) to my 4Forum then just say 'hi' (or preferably a bit more, but 'hi' is ok too), in the introduction forum:

4f-creations.com/site/forum/in…
Then you can download the big version and, when I have them ready, any follow up pages to this one.

This free content will include any derived images I take/make from the pages. Like I'm working on a large stand alone version of the catsuited (what that isn't a word?) catsuit-clad lady with the gun.

I love the look, the concept of the whole page, the colors... And I really wonder with which techniques you worked. There's such a media-mix going on. Is any of that (except for the bubbles and panel lines) actually drawn/painted or is that 3D which was fantastically rendered (and probably edited)?
Of course I'd understand it if you don't want to reveal any secrets xD I'm just so curious!

Oh hi. I have absolutely no problem in sharing my "secrets". I can tell you right now, it looks more complex then it is. But you're right, most of it is just 3D with some photoshop shenanigans on top.

- Top panel: largely a 3D Render where the sky is a 2D plane with an image on it, then a few 3D buildings with a texture on it lighted by 2 lights and then rendered out. Then "rain" was added in photoshop.

- Midpanel: same as above only this time I moved the camera with the plane through the buildings and rendered 1 frame out with motion blur. Rain was added in photoshop and I slightly tweaked the lights from the plane's engines and front light in photoshop.
Mid panel 3D setup as seen from above.

- Bottom panel (landing): this is a bit more complicated. Since rendering 3D images can take a long time I often do quick low resolution renders, then scale those images up in photoshop to see how they mix with what I already have. Here I did the same, put a low resolution render into the comic page and scaled it up to see how it worked. I also already added glow to the neon letters.

The reason why this particular render took a long time was that in the 3D program I added dust clouds from the landing trusters into the mix. When I rendered out a high resolution version I decided to save time, remove the 3D dust and add it later in photoshop. When I added the high resolution render of the landing into the comic page I put it into a layer over the low resolution version and then slightly lowered the opacity of the top layer so some of the blurry, noisy low-res of the layer below it came trough. Then I added some more 'dust' in photoshop and overlaid some "rain".

- Bottom right: I rendered the airplane out separate from the background. This way  I could blur the background in photoshop without blurring the plane or parts of it. I could have the 3D program take care off the blurring but that comes at the cost of heavy increased render times.
I then only added the dust (and of course the pilot) in photoshop. The gun too is rendered out in 3D then pasted into the girls hand.

And that as they say, that's all.
