.....in one of their best songs, The Moody Blues sing of "the glorious age of Camelot when Guinevere was Queen".Done with a pencil, and I'm never gonna draw another brick as long as I live.......

Aren't bricks just so much fun? LOL It looks great, man. The bricks were worth it, in my opinion, as they provide a very eye-catching pattern for the background. I like how the black horse contrasts with the rest of the scene. Nice shading as well.

....Thank you, Tom---the black horse was on purpose---if the horse were white, the whole drawing would have been a wash; it needed a blob of darkness to give it some negative space, as you say, contrast...........................................
Concerning the bricks, I remember when you first posted "SLAUGHTERHOUSE" and I thought "..look at those perfect bricks---what PATIENCE this guy has!!!"
... Revisiting your "GALLERY" (to make sure I got that title correct...) I must say what an AMAZING body of work you've accumulated!!!! Don't you sometimes just kick up your Gallery and sit there looking at it with pride??? Because if you don't, you should...while the subject matter may not be everyones' cup of tea, there is no denying the superb artistry....every piece is so excellently rendered....

Well, the horse worked out as it really pulls it together.
HA! The bricks in "Slaughterhouse" were exactly what I was thinking of. They almost drove me insane. Still, I've found that, if done right, they look good.
Man, thanks so much on the gallery! You know, everyonce in a while I pop it up just to see how far I've come. Of course, if I look too long, I usually find myself saying "ah, I could have done better." LOL Overall, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little proud of what I've done so far. Gosh, I quit drawing for ten years, so it's weird to have so much work now.

I have to agree with my sister, eliyggdrasil. The drawing is fantastic! I so envy your ability to draw horses. Every time I try they come out looking like pigs.
The pose you gave the horse is very animated, like it's ready to charge into battle. Great job capturing that medieval feel!

.......and the title of that book is "DEALING WITH OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER", an affliction that I must have to sit and draw a zillion little bricks!!! But it paid off, I think----the castle came out lookin' pretty good....
