Actually more than I redraw, I rather consider this as a reinterpretation

The old picture were just Kopa and Tanabi, but in this new one I decided to add Nuka too, I changed a little Tanabi's pose because the previous one was a bit exaggerated, also how could I place Pride Rock in reverse position? That's unforgivable!

In my headcanon they used to be best friends during their childhood, they were the perfect dynamic trio and the only cubs in the whole Pride Lands, Nuka was born a month before Kopa and Tanabi were born, being practically from the same generation, Kopa was always hanging out with his best friend and twin brother, their friendship seemed to be endless and perfect, but unfortunatelly when Zira got aware that Nuka was always with the two royal cubs that were Simba's offprings, she decided to restrict him from hanging out with them. "Don't you know what you're doing??? They are Simba's cubs, those are our enemies offprings, the decendents of our enemy, Simba took everything from us, and all his family Is a scum in our way !!" Nuka considered his mother's restriction very unfair, he didn't care if they were Simba's children or not, he still loved his only friends.

When Tanabi realized that Nuka would no longer go out to play with them, he decided to stop hanging out with his brother, since he missed Nuka too much and no longer enjoyed playing only with his brother, so he decided to use his free time to spend It with his grandma and mother, leaving Kopa all alone, Kopa was always boring and sad for no having any friend to hang out with, But it would be later on when he would find a new friend to share his best moments with...
