Like many Samurai Sentai Shinkenger fans, I too wished to see a Black Ranger within the series, but i never got around to finalizing it until recently I found the Kanji I wished to use.

Sure I could have used kanjis Black, Dark, Metal of some other one, but none of those had the simplicity of the Fire, Water, Wood, Sky, Land or Light witch was successfully used onto the Shinkenger helmets.

Finally, I found a the Kanji "Kyou" [link] which generally means Villain, Evil, Bad luck, Disaster or Atrocious, and yes, this would be a Bad Omen element / Dark Ranger.

If this guy ever got a story, it might be similar to the Dark Hopper Riders, meaning if he fought for others, nothing good will come to him unless he fights for himself only. well at least until he realizes that its worth the pain sometimes
