Description
An official image of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 3D animated series was used as a trace model Based on the designs for the TMNT 2014 movie, SHELL SHOCK~ www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaACrT… ok... about the movie.... it was better than i imagined it, and i'm very happy to put this into my list of loved TMNT Universes
as for the art, i tried to use as much of the movie design and yet simplify it to work with what i was trying to do, and when I was done .... the over accessories used on the turtles strangely made sense to me in odd ways.
Leonardo = is very close to a samurai , noble, brave
Raphael = a battle ravage gladiator
Donatello = Tech wiz / geek
Michelangelo = sweetest nicest gangsta ever

Did you submit this to the TMNT-Fan-Club contest? anyways, I like this better than the other tmnt 2012/14 mashups. I think donnie is truest to both generations of the turtles. You can't escape his geeky smile

*sighs* if only the film would be like this, instead of what we got. and where are the kraang? they never appear in any of the films, but they only appear in the tv show

I just saw it two days ago, and I gotta say, I actually really liked it. The story was nice and compact, and we got the standard "Shredder's down! ...Or is he?" ending. The turtles looked different, but most importantly they were still, y'know, the turtles! I think it's on par with the first Transformers movie, I just hope they don't botch the second movie and have to redeem themselves with the third and fourth. (I mean, come on, we all know there's gonna be sequels. Maybe even one where they go to feudal Japan? XD)
I love that you mixed the traditional turtles style with their new designs. This is just an awesome blend of all the ranges of looks they've had over the past few decades, it summarizes their history so well in a way. Great work!

Well, there can never be too much classic corny ninja turtles, although I think they're sticking to a more "mature" 2003 series-esque style of storytelling here, so having the whole "Going back in time and fighting ancient bad guys" plot may not fit in so well, but we can't say for sure yet. XD
It looks like it was a lot of work, but it did pay off in the end.
