Some Dad's try to be cool and down with the kids. It's honestly embarrassing, when they try to do modern dance moves or hearing them trying to use our words. It just doesn't sound right coming from them and the slang is usually outdated by ten years. But if you think that's embarrassing as it is, then you won't believe my dad. I used to make fun of him for trying to be cool and hip. I think he took that as a challenge. And honestly... He's winning. It's not frustrating because he outdid me... But because of how far he's taken it, how it's gone from him being dorky to being... appealing. He didn't just get down with the lingo and learnt tiktok dances. He went to the length of altering his body to look as if he were a hot teenage girl. He started dressing like a popular girl and even has his own teenage girlfriends. And after he enrolled in my school he started dating my best friend. Now he tags along wherever I go and I have to sit and watch him getting hot with my childhood best friend. Dad never even used to like him, he always complained about how loud and unruly he is. Now hes crawling all over him and staying at his over night. What's worse is when dad invites him over just for the two of them. They ask me to leave the living room and lock dad's bedroom door when they go to bed. But I know what they're doing. In the bedroom Dad sounds just a loud and unruly as his boyfriend. We aren't friends anymore, but either way he still around all the time. I just wish dad would break up with him and see what a real man his son can be.
