I used to use fancy synonyms when I feralRP'd; AND SOMETIMES I even still use the word "pillars" to describe one of my very tall character's legs. However; I stopped being ridiculous and flowery, because I realized that it just got in the way. Some people just didn't fucking understand what I was saying. This didn't make me superior at all, I like the people I RP with to get what I'm saying. So? I stopped being a dumbass and wrote properly.

HARKS were my favorite... though the one thing I do to describe one of my character's eyes is refer to them as his "blues". I still do this today, but I think that's the extent of my synonym use.

Sorry for commenting on an older stamp but this pissed me off.
People that use synonyms are trying to spice up their posts. Don't be an ass. I use synonyms. SHOOT ME. Just plain old "eyes", "tail", and "legs" sound...stupid. If you're a crappy RPer and use fancy words, I can understand but some people know how to use synonyms and make them sound good. So don't go and say that all synonyms are stupid. That is a dumb ass, closed-minded assumption. They're fine as long as you don't OVER USE them. And there are plenty of people who don't.

No. "Oculars" is not an appropriate synonym for "Eyes", nor are "Auds" or "Pinnae" reasonable synonyms for "Ears". Don't even get me started on "Brujo".
