Hello! Posting from ProjectComment

What first caught my eye about this was the subtle colors and, of course, my love for watercolor. The muted colors bring out a soft bleak feeling to it, which I find far from unappealing! It reminds me of a cloudy day, perhaps in a craggy valley somewhere full of fog and mystery. The rock formations are a little messy, but I can still tell what it's supposed to be and it is still quite successful. I feel you might benefit from a small brush and adding small details, maybe the occasional line for emphasis. Your pieces, especially this one, look absolutely striking from afar. Your use of watercolor, technique-wise, seems messy but in a controlled, knowing way, and I really like that!

Thank you!
I try to switch between the messy and detailed ways as I like both

Hi Hi from

I can't let this amazing draw pass in my eyes, first of everything i love these stripes you did in the sky, it's give to the rocks and grass a 3D style, you did the clouds look so realistic, looks exactly a real cloud!!! how much colors you use in a draw ? i only think you can mix then more, we can see a little those spaces between 1 color and another.. also that rock in the middle are more green than the grass it removed a little his beautiful grass realistic color.

That rocks.. oh boy... it's not like some ''minecraft'' rocks i see in a lot of draws every rock have a unique proportion, size, height... it's fabulous you are a TRUE artist, i will never be able to do something like this in all my life

Thank you for the nice words!
I kind of like this "graphic" way of watercolor painting with partially overlapping brushstrokes with occasional strange colors like green on the rock: it has this quick and sketchy look which may be inappropriate sometimes, but I like it anyway for these speedy works)

Btw (looking at your avatar and your gallery), I also did some pixel art in the past O_O that was soo long ago, I kind of miss it.

I did not mean it this way it is a matter of taste and style. And one can work in a variety of styles and like different ones likewise
Proof This is very fast compared to those pixels which took months O_O

Hello! From Project Comment and I noticed this gem sitting in the gallery.Β

The thing I like the most about your image are the brush strokes. It seems like you did some overlapping to make certain areas more opaque than others which gives the grass and rocks a sense of texture and to an extent, life. Another thing I like is that your compiosition is very balanced. The top half of the image contains a plain non-contrasty sky which mmediately forces the viewer to look back at the rocks, whose verticality leads the viewers eye down to the grass. Now there is one thing I feel could be done better and thats the sky. The sky is a bit too plain, which I assume is because you were going for an overcast day. Perhaps some more variations of gray would help make it less blendy.Β

Aside from that, the image came out great. I've never attempted water color but would love to do so after seeing this Β

Thank you for the comment!
You are right about the sky: I've painted it wet on wet under very dim light first and then it was too late to modify it(
You definitely should try watercolor, it is a lot of fun.

Thanks! These ones are exercises in speedpainting, I reserve details for more serious work

Thanks)
It's a pity, it was very nice there: while we climbed up the hill it was col and cloudy, but we got some nice views with sunshine on top.
