Description
A pencil portrait of Morgana - played by the beautiful Katie McGrath - from BBC's Merlin. I loved drawing her hair.
HB, 2B & 5B pencil on A5 drawing paper
I didn't scan the drawing this time, but photographed it. Do you think this works better?

Her hair is certainly gorgeous - you did such a wonderful job. Her piercing eyes are nicely done too, and I really like the starkness of the white and black!
Interesting about the scan vs photograph though - is the image in your Artist's Comments a scanned one?

Yes, the image in the artist's comment is a scanned one. I still fail at both scanning and photographing traditional works, especially coloured ones.

Yes, I think so. There's two problems with scanning though, 1) You have to brighten up the colours and everything in PS since scanning takes away a lot of the contrast and everything and 2) Some of my drawing paper (the really good drawing paper, and the papers I use for watercolour works) are bigger than A4, but I only have an A4 scanner.

Jup. I guess there might be super mega awesome scanners out there where you wouldn't have to do it, but I didn't encounter one of those yet.
