Description
This is another photo taken at the 1830s village in my home state. This one was an interesting way to play with perspective for me. There was a wooden bar blocking the path itself, but I wanted to get a picture of the path and the fences lining it. By getting low to the ground, I was able to capture this wonderful shot.This is now an entry for 's "Your Best of 2017" contest:

Get away from the cities in Australia, in the countryside ("The Bush") it's like the Old Wild West with a crazy anachronistic mix of old things and new things. Not many cops either. Many country towns only have one cop. Other towns may have no police at all. People are very independent and yet the local communities are extremely helpful. People are used to fixing and making their own things. Even cars, tractors, and trucks sometimes are built in farm worksheds. I don't like the cities, but the countryside is amazing. It's also very dangerous; Australian wild life is among the deadliest on Earth.
