Description
In an attempt to start a conversation, Kurt asks Ralph about his scars.

You see, Ralph used to work at the old Rupture Farms as a security guard (interior position means less 'freedom' at work, but at least there was no rain ahaha) and had the misfortune to find himself alone on one of the shifts. The Mudokon slaves took an advantage of that and tried to take revenge for the countless beatings they received from their Slig supervisors, hoping to run away as well, no doubt about that. After breaking Ralph's ribs, the other Mudokon swung his own gun at the now defensless Slig, shattering his mask. Some splinters shredded his right eye, and it had to be surgically removed later. Ironically enough, that incident with slaves saved Ralph's life- a few days later the whole meat processing plant was shut down due to... rather peculiar electric over-activity . After his short stay in the sick bay he was transfered elsewhere.

And no, I'm not trying to create a badMudokons/goodSligs falacy here, not really. The accident looked a bit different from the Mudokon point of view. They didn't plan anything, they just saw an opportunity to escape, so one of them swung his bucket at the Slig without really thinking about it. Once it was done and there could be done nothing about it, the group panicked and went all 'OMGOMGOMGWHATNOW'... at the time the seemingly wisest thing to do was to get rid of the guard, so that he won't have an opportunity to tell anybody what happened.
