I just noticed I linked your image to some net pals and praised her then but haven't comment here at all. I find your vision of Nerdanel the closest to the wise, strong woman she is described to be. Noble, strong, beautiful but not in a sweet, pretty, cute way. And I love her hair and clothes, but that is great part of all of your artworks. Really, my fav Nerdanel of all renderings I've seen. Once I started my own image of her but now I am not sure I would still like it if I ever got back to that one.

Nerdanel - an amazing woman. Strong, noble and wise. For me - probably the most vivid image of the book. I love her very much, and when I draw it, i thinking about her, imagined and tried to feel ... her emotions, her thoughts ...
You have a very interesting and powerful style of drawing. I would to see your Neri somewhen.)

сам вижу тут помесь романики, раннего возрождения, модерна и бреда меня.) Вообще, долго пытался подобрать то, что подошло бы именно ей, в итоге оказалось так.)А вообще у меня Кельтика действительно ассоциируется с медью и червонным золотом, так что невольно очень может даже быть.)

This is a beautiful piece! I love the fact that you inspired yourself from the renaissance dress style in her outfit (the puffy sleaves) mixed with a medieval feel to it. I always found that this more elaborated trend fitted the Noldor perfectly.

I definitly agree ^^ They loved to wrok precious metals, it would seem normal that they should use their crafts to adorn their clothing And it was nice to see a beautiful Nerdanel like this! It's difficult to find portrayals of her out there

Generally, I like the Noldor more than other elves. For many things, but to a large extent - for their creativity.

WOW. The linework on this is just SUPERB. I am in awe. It reminds me a lot of Albrecht Durer's woodcut pieces, though Nerdanel has a much more beautiful face and figure than more of his pieces. Actually, it looks ike a combination between a woodcut and Art nouveau. Must say with all honesty that this is the best Nerdanel I've ever seen.
