Here is the colored version of Deed from the Record of Lodoss Warthat I pencilled short while back, casting some sort of water based spell....
i know the outfit isn't accurate, but i did my own thing with it, and didn't have any references at the time
Really had some fun making the background, and once i liked the background i couldn't help but give it my all for the rest.

What I like the most are that:
1. the picture is original. It looks a bit unexpected but still "in character", and that's really good;
2. you've put a lot of efforts into the background, that's rarely seen. Without the background that would still be OK, but with it the picture looks finished.

Well, you know that most of the pictures show Deedlit calm and quiet, often smiling. That's why she looks a bit unexpected here. But we all remember the way she looks when she is worried, angry, etc, we could see that in the anime. So, she is still "in character" (this means that the character on the picture doesn't do anything that is not like him/her, these words are often used in some fandoms). It's a bit hard for me to explain something in English, so, is the explanation clear?

ah, I gotcha... and I agree, most deedlit fanart is her being cute, but i always liked that she was more than the 'princess' who needed saving (except for the end of the series of course)
