The oldest hospital in Bucharest (established in 1704; the beautiful neoclassical building dates from 1888) has recently benefitedΒ from a major and overdue face-lift. The statue in front of the building represents Lord High Sword-Bearer Michael Cantacuzino, the founder of the hospital; it was made by K. Storck in 1869.

thats good to see it is still in use, the old hospital nearby has been converted into 'dez rez'.Β  But we have a large newer hospital in the same grounds
