I cheat when I draw curls curls. For the lines, I just draw a bunch of curly looking stuff, and then when I colour digitally, I use layers (best invention ever) and make a layer underneath the linear and colour basically a blob of the hair colour underneath the hair lines and then clean it up and add detail. :3 (If that made sense... > >" )
