Description WIP of Marina Seadrift. Property of Disneyfan01. I'll probably color this later on, but for now I'm happy with how the lineart turned out.

Call this....a belated B-day gift. And an attempt to practice more of my anatomy, since I am so desperately out of practice.

I like it...I'd love to see it in color. . . And I particularly like how you didn't make her a musclebound Amazon. . .

Very good anatomy, especially the arms and hands. You are still having trouble with details and clothing still. They are very stiff. (folds, her hair) Her hair seems like its just clumps of shapes around her. Throw pieces of hair around her, hair has to have some FREEDOM!

As for the clothing, try looking at this- [link] see how its just blowing in all directions? It's just like hair, blowing freely and all different ways- folding, bending, twisting.
I tell you all the time to look at fabrics, you've got some things down, like the twisting along with her body, but not everything.

Her head seems to be in proportion, but still SLIGHTLY too small because of the width of her chest and hips. you can fix that by making those less wide. (just shave off the lines a bit. try keeping them there, drawing inside them in the same directions then erasing the outside lines.)

Very good work. There is improvement. Lets see some more.

Action poses are most difficult to draw Great work! I agree with the others' critiques, too. Keep up the good work!

Everything ~kiljax is right. Also, her waist should be a bit smaller, as women curve, and her body looks a bit masculine.

Other than that, it's not bad.

Very glad you liked it! I probably should show more of Marina training with my "lost girls", eh? ^_^

Nice work

Some creative crits: Her head is a tad small for her body. The leg that's coming from under her skirt (Our right, her left) seems a little chunky, if she's meant to be musculr, you may want to tone it down a bit and simply slim out her legs a little bit.

This is gonna look good when coloured.

Fighting in high heels though? She's either one tough cookie or she's got balance to spare

A lot of girls have balance to spare. Look at Sailor Moon and the other Senshi. They actually run in those shoes. LOL.

That is very true.

Not one to truly take a look at people's feet in an animation...

As far as I remember, as well, in those anime's, the girls never actually did REAL fighting, they just threw around some bubbles and fire and ran a bunch, but no real sword fighting.

A truly insane task would be to do boxing while in high heels... I don't think that can be done at all.

Still, if it's comics/anime, you kinda have to leave your theories of relativity and gravity and realism on the couch. Keep on drawin', man.

True, but they were balanced enough to run in those shoes. LOL
