I was playing with parameters to make this shot. No edit other than border and resize...quite fond of it, but mixed feelings because the ears were in focus. I had it on manual focus trying something different...don't like that aspect...but other than that, I like it!

i usually don't take much interest in child potraits but i couldn't pass this one by. the expression is priceless and i like the different angle as well. great capture!

Very nice work, he looks like he's deep in thought. I'm enjoying the lighting in this piece, the plain border you chose brings it out and makes it more impressive. He also looks very familiar for some reason, but I can't think why... I get people confused all the time but I'm sure I know someone who looks just like him. Ah well, nice shot!

This is a fabulous portrait. Really impressive. The model is so (apparently) deep in thought and the lighting is supreme, a real uplifting set. The background is spot-on, so blurred, out of focus and plain that it couldn't possibly distract from the main subject. The highlights are perfect suited to the situation and technically, this is a great shot. Very well done

This is just an awesome portrait. Not only does the angle give it a very unique look for a portrait, but I have never pondered a childs expression so much. I don't usually think anything about what the kid is thinking because they just don't seem too good at conveying that in photography. That is most definitely not the case here.
Technically sound all the way around as well. Solid work.
A wonderful piece of work, you should be very proud.

Well...my brother deserves all credit. He was pondering...I was snapping. Not much on my part...he just wasn't aware of the camera (he thought i was getting shots of my friends skating)...
