Hooh!From left to right, Lenna, Boco, Kururu, Galuf, Butz, Stilzkin(!) and Faris, from Final Fantasy 5! XD
I drew this all in one go, one day last week (two weeks ago?) after I'd finally finally gotten to devote a whole day to translating--I think I translated Suikogaiden for about 12 hours straight, and damn, did I make a dent in chapter 3! Days like that really please me. What an accomplishment! I want to spend at least one day like that a week, if I can. (Seems impossible at the moment, though. And school's not even on!)
In any case, I inked this the next morning without even really thinking, and then I painted it the same day, after my google documents crashed (since I screwed something up) and thought that amounted to a good reason to take a little break from that day's translating.
So, despite all the mistakes and the rainbow-barf sky, who doesn't love Final Fantasy 5?! <3 AND I DREW GALUF'S FACE! And I drew Cara!! (Kururu/Krile) Hoohoo!!
(Do I now have more FF5 fanart up than I do FF7, 8 or 9? (Tactics, too.) And I've got none for 4 or 6! Or proper art for 12. Sheesh... I'll have to get on that.)

Ooh... I think... some of them can fly! There's different colors, and the color determines what they can do--like some of them can even run on top of the ocean!! So I'm sure there's one that can fly, too... probably. XD

If you like older games, I'd say FF5 is definitely worth a whirl! I've heard the re-makes are good, too! (Well, as said above, as well!)

Have you played one of the more recently released versions of FF5? The re-translation is pretty interesting. Not quite as funny or confusing, but explains a lot more, haha.

Heh. I tend to do that, even though it seems to defeat the idea of her actually being able to pretend to be a guy. But other artists do it too, so I figure it's okay!

I've been wanting to play either the GBA version or the PS1 port for ages and ages... I think I'm leaning towards the GBA version, since I've heard some of the localizations are pretty funny, and, well, it lacks those... rather discomforting cutscenes, lol.
Which one did you play? Would you recommend one version over the other?

I played the PS one years ago, and playing the GBA version now. I think I like the GBA version a little better, as far as translations go.

LOL the vibrance is what makes your art so awesome. You deserve all the praise you can get for it! In a world taken over by digital, it's always great to still see the traditional stuff being used. The texture of the paper always adds so much to your colour! (and pieces in general)
And OMG Boco needs all the attention he can get! The ONLY FF where a chocobo was given a name AND played a major role in it

Well, wait, there were named chocobos in FFT, weren't there? And even if their names changed and there were tons of them, that still makes them about as important as all the other non-storyline characters!
I still haven't really played 13. It looks alright, but not like something I've gotta play anytime soon. I'd rather replay FF5 than start a game of FF13, actually.

I was actually lamenting that I didn't like the texture of this paper as much as the previous brand (I thought it was the same one) but I think it did scan remarkably well.

True, Tactics had named Chocobo, but i rarely used them in that game anyways. Was too busy power leveling Monks lol
13 is a fantastic story (i don't care what ANYBODY else says), from an emotional and character development point. It's the gameplay that bothers alot of people. It isn't until like 20 hours into the game, that you can fully USE the actual battle system. Since everything prior to that, is still new things being taught. Oddly enough, i've beat the game twice already (within a year i think). 5 is REALLY high up on my list of games to replay though. That and 12 mainly (since i've only ever beat each of those once... well, maybe i've beat 5 twice?)
