JULIA, YOUR LINEART IS SO FUN TO COLOR!!
Your lines are loverly!! (And this a messy piece, too! Your cleaner ones must be even more fun, haha!)
A collaboration between and I. Along with we've been working on our amazing Pokemon Swimsuit Calendar project. Hulia was gonna scrap this piece, so I said "let me try coloring it!"
We printed out the lineart on watercolor paper at Kinkos. It seems to have worked pretty well... the ink didn't smear so much as it kind of... flaked away. It was a little strange, lol.
I think the final came out pretty darn nice though, if I do say so myself, and I'm looking forward to doing the next one!
(I figure it's okay to post this one on DA, since Julia wasn't going to use it for the calendar anyway... I'll take it down though, if she didn't want me to post it. I got all excited and wanted to show it to somebody, lol.)

Hopefully we'll be making a print of it! It looks like it's actually gonna be pretty close to the finished product though, so maybe we won't for the sake of not confusing matters. It certainly was fun to paint, though. Thanks so much for your comments! <3

It's this amazing awesome completely COOL project me and my friends are working on--we're going to make a Pokemon Swimsuit Calendar for 2012, and print some copies to sell at a con we're selling art at.
We're really putting a lot of thought and work into this project, so I'm sure the outcome will be pretty damn sweet! <3 <3 <3

Well, we figure people will buy a 2012 calendar in 2011, as like... birthday presents and stuff? Since the con's in April (2011), it doesn't really make sense to sell 2011 calendars.

Hopefully we'll be able to create some preview pages and stuff to advertise it and get people interested. Originally we wanted to do online ordering for 2011 calendars in October, but... we all got busy with school and stuff. u__u

I almost always save my line art when I CG. I could print a bunch and we could keep a stack for whenever you're artblocked or something!
Did you manage to clean it up somehow? Koffing is way neater than he's supposed to be. And well everyone in general looks way neater. Except for Jessie's fingers and her eyelashes T_T (sob).

I didn't change Koffing at all--the only part I really cleaned up was some of the lines on Jessie's upper arm. :3

No, I mean blistering barnacles, I would looove to have a stack of your lineart to color! (That would be a kick-ass birthday present, lolol. "Hulia Colouring Book!") \(*w*)/ It would be cool if we could get an ink that didn't flake off--and I swear the wc paper felt like... different, somehow, but... it may have just been something I did, rather than anything to do with Kinko's.
