Description

I have cooperated with M.S. Rose, Taiwan’s Lolita fashion brand, to design a fantastic dress series.
The theme of the series is “Mysterious Circus Tour,” which is a concept combining with Dissociative Fugue Disorder and a circus tour.
Despite being inspired by a medical term, I actually referred to only a small part of the explanation of the disorder.
The key phrase is “keeping escaping from the ego.”

I have always felt that the image of girls is mobile and playable.
When it comes to lolita, the feminine characteristics of girls are raised to the highest point and even out of the frame.
Somehow, the image has become rebellious and intoxicating at this extreme point of femininity.
This is the reason that lolita has always been one of the major sources of my inspiration.

I have been asked a lot in the interviews that why there are no male characters in my drawings, but I didn’t figure out the reason myself until now.
Recently, I’ve started to understand that what I really want is the feminine power, and the girls in my creation are not defined by their physiological gender.
Digging my own ideas from my creation is really important to me.
