! For those of you wondering, yes, it is Ginko from Mushi-shi. I love the series so much <3!I made a wallpaper for myself, and I figured I might as well share. I kind of almost like these colors better than the original.

I gotta say, One-Eyed fish was a great episode, but the light of the eyelid has got to be my favorite.

Ginko! Mushi! I love this anime/manga. Has an amazing atmosphere, theme (and music in anime!)... Very calming. I feel this atmosphere, looking at the work. Great!

I love Mushi-shi so much. c': I'd so use this wallpaper if my mom didn't get fussy whenever I changed the background image on my computer. |:I maybe when I get my own personal computer.
Anyways, lovely, lovely picture. I love both this and the original. Your detail is amazing, and so is the texture. What program did you use? And if you used any textures may I ask where you got them from?

Aww how sad that you can't change your computer's background
As for the program, I used Corel Painter for the majority of the piece, and just some added details in Photoshop, like the grassy areas and texture. I have a big collection of free to use textures, but most of them I've gotten off of cgtextures.com. Wonderful site <3.

I really loved Mushishi as I remember it, You should try live-action movie too, it's pretty good. And yeah, your wallpaper surely captures atmosphere of this anime. Love the colors too.

Ginko and Mushi~! I absoltely love that series, it's amazing and you captured the spirit of it so very well! Melancolony and wistful, beautiful and calm but with a sense of darkness lingering in the background...It's positively beautiful!
