Description Just a random pony I made a whole bunch of bases for myself to use and my sisters said to make a male alicorn first, so I did. His name is Watermelon Splash, and I guess he's good at throwing watermelons or some weird crap like that. Dunno. He's just completely random. I finished him this afternoon and only just now remembered to upload.

My Little Pony (c) Hasbro
Watermelon Splash is mine.

Ahh ponies. I just don't get dem

Also, I have a real question here, why in a realm of time and space where there are hippocampus, unicorns, and several other intelligent species other than just the regular ponies, words like "anybody" and "everybody" are replaced with "anypony" and "everypony"? I'm sorry, but isn't that technically racism against the other intelligent life forms of that planet who don't happen to have the apparent honor of being ponies?

One more thing, when someone uses the phrase, "love and tolerate" they really don't mean "love and tolerate", do they? They seem to mean "Your point isn't valid because I'm not listening."

Just pointing out some odd things I've noticed about your seperate culture that has developed within the internet.

I know this is an older comment, but I happened to spot it and, as a pony fan, felt I should help clear up a few of your questions--in case no one else has in the meantime.

"Anypony"/"everypony" terms are used when the group being referred to consists only of ponies. Well, it's supposed to be. Perhaps they slip up sometimes and include, say, a dragon in that "everypony" group. Ponies are the predominant "human counterparts" in Equestria, although certain "mythological/fantasy" species, as well as other ungulates (hoofed mammals), are also capable of human-like speech or possess particularly human-like qualities. We've seen mules, donkeys, cows, sea serpents, griffins, a Draconequus, bison, etc. (Why farmer ponies are apparently able to own and control such creatures as cows remains a mystery...) There are three primary races of pony: earth ponies, Pegasi, and unicorns. A pony with traits of all three is known as an Alicorn, but very few of those exist--so far, the only known ones are all members of the royal family.

Also, I have found the majority of the brony community to be genuinely good at "loving and tolerating"--which means accepting the rights of others to hold opinions different from your own, and not resenting them purely on that basis. It doesn't mean tolerating EVERYTHING, including harmful things that should not be tolerated but dealt with effectively. A true brony may well be very surprised if you give "Friendship is Magic" a shot and come away with negative feelings, but s/he will honor your right to enjoy or not enjoy whichever television series you please. Being critical and analytical of the show is not frowned upon when done in an intelligent manner; on the contrary, it's generally encouraged. I've rarely seen "love and tolerate" used merely to deflect a well-stated and thought-out criticism or argument. Typically it is used to remind and calm people who might otherwise get riled up over obviously trolling, excessively nasty remarks.

Actually, this is probably one of the most intelligent fandoms I've ever seen on the whole--and while we do love to think deeply into the show and discuss it at some length, -most- people with whom I have done so have been very reasonable, respectful, and humble about their feelings if they differed from mine. Naturally, I have to say "most," because clearly you've witnessed those who definitely do not act as I described...and although there are rotten apples in just about every barrel, alas, oftentimes they're the loudest and most conspicuous, giving the rest a bad name before they even have a real chance to make themselves understood.

The fandom is a strange thing.

They use "everypony" and "everypony" because ponies are the only prominent sentient creature in that world. Humans are just as inconsiderate, you never hear a person saying everyone or anyone about animals.

Love and tolerate? They're serious. It's like saying, "we don't agree, but I forgive you".

We say everybody about ourselves because we are the only known sentient, tool building civilzation on this planet.

The phrase, everypony, however, still does not apply to the pegasi and the unicorns, as they are, by definition, not ponies. I'm just saying.

And I'm sorry, but when someone puts up a valid point, like say, for instance, that some characters come across inconsistent, which DOES happen in any and all stories, pony related or non, and the only response given, rather than an intelligence defense of why that inconsistancy mattered, they merely counter with love and tolerate, than yes, it is an "i'm not listening" or "your valid point is non existant cuz I say so" in that context. I will admit it is perfectly good a counter to trolls, and to those nit picking, but when used against valid points, It just seems lazy to me.

I don't have a problem with the show, nor with the fans of it, I have a problem with most of the community, who think that saying something is wrong with the show, or even disagreeing with the "awesomeness" of an episode, is blasphemy. This of course, doesn't apply to you, nor anyone intelligent enough to notice the difference. It falls under, best and worst thing about a show/game/movie, is the fans.
