Might sound overused but practice makes perfect!
Also observe other people's paintings and watching some tutorials and speedpaints help a lot. ^_^

Thanks, that's what I'm trying to do... while balancing fanfic writing as well.

0.3 and 0.5 pencils aren't that hard to erase. Then you could copy all the colors over to the new image and make changes to where it's different.

And I just noticed the apple in-between the tips of the stetson. That's just amazing.
