WARNING: BIG FILEHuff huff so the poll came to a tie between two choices so I'm like omg I don't enjoy drawing chibis HAVE THIS TUTORIAL INSTEAD.
If there's something you don't understand above or if you still have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments! I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability~
But no really, if you really have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to work layers and all that, I suggest you go find a basic tutorial first.

Woah, the "outlined" look of the shading is done manually? I thought it's the "fringe" effects in SAI.

I love your tutorial, but I'm a bit lost when it comes to the shading.
I copied your brush settings, but my shades end up flat instead of blended as yours do (like on the chest). How do you achieve this, can you make a short video/speedpaint?

Can you show me a screenshot, please? Occasionally I'll use the blur tool to blend in the colors if it comes out too rough, but using the Brush tool to color usually does the trick. I'll definitely try to do a speedpaint, but I usually get distracted so it takes me longer than it should to do a drawing. ;__;

It didn't really turn out. (only skin colored) I used blur on his neck and arms too...

Hmm, I guess the coloring on my skin is a lot softer than what I do. I usually draw on a big canvas so when I resize, it looks a lot smoother than it really is. Also, the color choice might have something to do with it. I use really saturated colors. Hope that helps! I'm not very good on giving art advice or critiques. ;__;

hey, this is good! Ive been trying to figure out what to use for lineart since forever.
Do you know what the advanced settings where for your lineart brush?

I'm glad it was helpful!
I didn't really mess with the advanced settings, so these are the default settings I use for lineart. Sometimes I use the Pen tool to lineart, which gives more solid lines, but you have to be more precise with the pen tool. I also use the brush tool at times too, but it makes coloring more difficult. The acrylic tool is a perfect balance of the two~
