Between breaks on my homework and such, this was a doodle in my sketchbook that I felt like finishing... no reason really. I just havent done a real "anime-ish" style in a while, and I wanted to do something with my BF and I...He really loves BST, and BLM is one of my first jobs....
Oh, BTW, for those who dont know, the pigtailed one is my BF's chara XD Im the Mithra... (cat thing). Yeah I know, its a long story and I know he's a female taru but yeah D:
Anyways, so I just wanted to play with faces a bit and eyes and stuff... I dont like my mithra's face that much, but overall it's not too bad I guess. Im getting too soft with some of the coloring though... but I softened the whole picture so I guess thats ok too.
Meh, just playing. Lots to improve, but thats what doodling is for

lol he's a female Taru? That's pretty awesome, considering most guys I ran into hated anything Taru, whether it be male or female. I would've guessed you were the Taru and he was the Mithra before I read the artist's comment. This is adorable, I love how the little Taru's ears look, and the colouring looks so soft and misty!

XD I know a ton of male taru's... but only one female taru. I also know a taru that was a boy taru, but then he stopped playing so his girlfriend picked up his chara... and now is a girl playing a guy character XDDDD

Paint Tool SAI is a great program that has a water color feature and a brush feature that work MAGNIFICENTLY with blends.

There's the official site. You can do a short trial period, but then you have to buy it. It's for PC only too. No mac version out yet.

Its only 50 bucks USD. It's much cheaper than other programs, and very reasonable I think for how powerful the program it is.
