Meet the adorable dreezles! The ever-friendly (but hard to find) dragon-weasels have often been said to make the perfect pet. Here you see the juveniles (or dreezlets, as they're called), but the adults can grow to the size of a small housecat. He-dreezles have prominent spines along their backs and tails, while she-dreezles merely have a cluster of spines on the very tips of their tails. They also have soft pointed ears which terminate in sensitive whiskers and are the most expressive ears of any in dragon-kind.

Here we have a litter of four. From the eldest down they are: Hazel (enjoying the coffee steam), Zuggem (curled up around the warm cup), Spizz (exploring the hair of humankind) and Zizi (giving her best friend a dreezle-kiss).

Dreezles cannot fly, but they do glide (the folds of gliding membrane can be most easily seen on Hazel). Due to their small size, they don't breathe true fire, but they will ignite a spark by flicking their tongue off the roof of their mouth. When done gently, this is called a dreezle-kiss and a sign of affection among their species. The older the dreezle, the hotter their 'spark'.

It is as yet unexplained why dreezles are attracted to the scent of coffee. What is known, however, is that they are most often found wrapped around a steaming mug of the stuff, their eyes shut in contented bliss.
