Edit:So, I didn't win the contest, but I did place in the finales and that's pretty damn awesome.
Also, I'm totally aware that Scourge's scars are incorrect. But hey, we can ignore that, right?
This is my entry for *missyuna 's contest.
This was an idea I had about a month ago, but I just never quite got to it until now. So it may seem a bit outdated, but it's still an issue I wanted to address. And don't worry guys, I actually love Scourge! I just don't think the sudden obsession over him was very respectful to the character.

I think that before Scourge was just pretty unoriginal when he was just the anti-Sonic. Once he became Scourge his popularity grew enough to have his own SU arc and then his popularity really spiked. Though I agree, it's a bit disrespectful, especially when people who draw him don't even know who he is.
Same thing goes for Zonic, actually. His popularity spiked recently too, but it really annoys me that most people who draw him and other zone cops have no idea who he is. I'm glad they're both getting more attention but it's the wrong kind of attention.

Back when you were a no-name 'Evil Sonic' from an alternate dimension with a bad attitude and a weird taste for black leather. I guess you haven't changed that much in about 15 years.
. . . to be honest I like 'em because they brought him (an original villain from the series roots) back instead of making a new one.

Yes, finally! Someone who actually knows, rather than the billions of "fans" out there who claim they're Scourge's biggest fans just because they jumped in on the Universe arc. Glad to know other people actually remember the Evil-Sonic days.

I kinda wish I could keep updated on all the new shennagins Scourge is getting himself into but I wouldn't know what comics to even start on. I haven't bought an Archie's Sonic comic since End Game. XD

XD Yeah, poor guy... The fandom exploded when the Scourge Arc came around. Hell, I was pumped for it! I'd read some of the old Evil Sonic comics and was very curious, so this came out at a perfect time for me to find out more.

It may also be due to the fact that Archie can't write to save their lives. At all. In any way. A diseased ridden babboon with a VERY busy schedule. Give him one note of papyrus and a quill for a day, he could come up with something better than Archie.

I actually appreciate and follow Archie's stories, and they do a good job of stringing events together. The thing to keep in mind when you're reading the comics is that they are not canon most of the time. But I still think they do a great job.

The reason they are good at stringing them together (which is a laugh and false, but I'll humor you) is because they use the exact same two or three plot points ad nuseum.
