Description
The mountain deity had fallen.

It was whispered amongst those in the divine world until they reached the ears of his mother, the goddess of winter. She only huffed and said, "That fool."

The mountain deity had fallen in love with a village boy of fifteen winters. It was the village boy who came upon the mountain deity one cool spring day while gathering wood, surprising the deity in the midst of drinking spring water. The naive boy thought the deity was nothing more than a lost noble and struck up friendly conversation. Surprised again by the naivety of the boy, the deity was hesitant to warm up but he was intrigued and asked the boy if he could see him again. Flattered but pleased that he'd made a friend, a noble no less, the naive boy agreed. From that day onwards, the deity would wander the forest, waiting for a chance meeting with the boy.

Soon, the deity became obsessed with every meeting he had with the boy and began neglecting his duties as the mountain guardian. The forest became unruly, the humans living in it became greedy and it wasn't long before chaos erupted. But the deity, oblivious to it all, only cherished his meetings with the village boy. It, too, wasn't long before the time between each meeting with the boy became longer and longer.

Angered, he decided the only way to stay together longer was to keep him and so the deity went to the village elders, promising peace if they gave the boy to him. They quickly agreed and the boy was given over. The boy, realizing who the elegantly dressed man truly was, begged to be released but was only ignored and given all the riches available to quiet him.

The deity, blissfully happy to be with the boy, never fulfilled his promise to the village elders. Miserably, the village boy watched from his opulent cage as his village and his home began to deteriorate. Despite more pleas to save the mountain, he was ignored and the attention he received from the deity became more and more suffocating and unwanted. Deciding he'd had enough, the village boy decided to leave.

ah, just a placeholder 'cause damn this is all i can do at the moment. and apologies for the long ass (and probably cheesy sounding) story; just had to get it out of my system. i assure you it sounds better in my mind. or probably even more coherent if i was a better writer.

in any case, wanted to type out that little ditty that kept ringing in my head the whole time while i was drawing this. sorry he's so man-slut looking. (ladies and some gentlemen know they like this. you know who you are.) i can't draw man boobies it seems.
