His Insanity has truly BROKEN his MIND. jk, jk. my version is nothing like that double Insanity.

In this take, I wanted to try something completely out there, basically something that as far as I know, has never been done. so!
I turned Insanity into a THERAPIST! yeah, seriously. lemme cook with the lore real quick, you'll see it's actually kinda cool:

So, if you know normal Insanity lore, he gets experimented on, goes crazy, kills everyone, generic insanity stuff really. this version deviates after he kills everyone. somehow, someway, a small part of his mind comes back after his slaughter of everyone. he isn't sad because of what he's done, instead, after realizing the underground has gone empty from what he's done, he's bored now. terribly bored. Insanity goes back into the lab where it all began, puts on some drip, (lab coat) he makes his way to Waterfall afterwards, finds the Cloudy Glasses and Torn Notebook. he decides to equip these items. after all this, he tries to find a way to escape this boring hellhole he's created. he uses the power of the few human souls he has to move from universe to universe. going out of his way to look for evil Sans'. he tries to give them his form of "Therapy". which amounts to little more than asking them "why you kill? you like kill monter too?" it's obviously not actually therapy. but Insanity doesn't know that, depending on how they respond he'll either say "you answer good, bye." or try to kill them. no in-between.

That's all the lore I could cook up, I hope it's at least somewhat decent.

Also, because of him using the purple soul items, he DOES have slight invincibility whenever he takes damage. it lasts for 1 second but he is immune to damage for that duration of time. making him a stupidly aggressive fighter, so aggressive in-fact that he doesn't even use his Gaster Blasters like a normal Sans. where others would spawn them and shoot lasers, when he spawns his, he literally grabs it and THROWS it at the enemy. just because he can!
