She believes everyone she meets could be potential friend material, even if she's with someone she's never met before she'll try her best to make a good first impression and make herself seem as welcoming as possible. You'll almost never see Sam without a smile on her face. She's pretty well known around Travista, not for any outrageous or scandalous acts but as "that fox that's always smiling".

She'll try to hold it back when meeting new people but when she's around her friends and/or family she'll almost always be leaning on, sleeping on, hugging, or trying to bury herself in their fur. Admittedly it can get on a lot of people's nerves, especially since she quite often smells of fish from her days' work, but it's just one way of spreading happiness.

[Daydreamer]
When talking to Samantha it may seem like she's drifting off into her own little world now and again, and you'd be right. She doesn't really think about anything in particular while she's being aloof of sorts but more like her mind just empties and everything around her just turns blurry. Sam often thinks about the world outside the city and beyond the triplet of settlements, even about what lies beyond the bounds of their earth and what could be out in that deep unexplored place in space. She can be a little sensitive in her mood when coming back into the real world so it isn't unknown for her to go from her normal pleasant self to a quiet and sad/touchy fox.

[Sensitive]
Samantha's mood can change quite quickly depending on the circumstances she's in. Some of these mood swings can be pretty severe; happy and bouncy one second and then grouchy and shouty the next. It isn't extreme enough to be classed as bipolar but you just need to be patient with her if she's having an motional turn, she'll be back to her usual happy self in no time! Just keep in mind that if she's feeling down she'd much rather be on her own rather than with others.

[Determined]
When Samantha is given a task she won't stop until the deed is done. This trait has definitely served her well so far in he work; if she's been given a quota of fish to fill for that week she'll try her hardest to meet or even exceed it, she'll work through the night if she has to. This persistence and hard working can-do attitude may work in her favour should she ever decide to take up a higher ranking job, however that may not happen for a while since she's quite happy in her fishing job right now.

The well-known phrase "Every cloud has a silver lining" perfectly describes Sam's outlook on life. She believes there is a glimmer of good even in the worst behaved individual, and in the darkest times she'll focus on the bright future not too far away. This may be partly why she's smiling most of the time and trying to spread the happiness and light to everyone around her to brighten their day. With this pleasant demeanor it's not uncommon to see her whistling or even dancing a little while she walks.

H I S T O R Y

Born and raised in the settlement of Travista into a fairly wealthy family, who were fortunate enough to live in a fairly safe part of the area away from The Rots, Samantha had an all-round pleasant upbringing. She was lucky enough not to be relocated to the Pupil Hall in the House of Cervisces and was given, in her opinion, outstanding tutoring from her parents and learned all she needed to know from them. For most of her educated life she was well behaved and only the occasional slip up resulted in her being given emotional disciplining from her mother and father, she was never given physical punishments since her parents thought that harming their own child seemed outrageous and that they believed stern talks and removal of privileges would result in a more well-rounded character in their daughter.

Several seasons into her studies passed and Samantha was already beginning to think about her future career. Yes she had been given the privilege of good academic teaching but she began to wonder if a high-ranking life was the life fore her. After several conversations with her parents and Samantha almost having to beg her parents to at least let her have a go at more simple jobs they accepted. However she would still need to continue her academic studies with her parents, if she was so sure on chasing her dreams of working in the trade businesses then she would need to seek tutoring elsewhere. Sam approached the House of Cervisces for this extra tutoring and accepted her into a couple of classes, one of which happened to be teaching in the fishing industry. Samantha quickly fell in love with the thought of being out in the open water and helping out the entire town with the fish she would catch, she knew it was she wanted to do. It wasn't surprising that her parents weren't too keen when they found out she wanted to go into this line of work, Sam was smart and had a lot of potential to go after a more important role in the community, but nothing could sway her from the path she wanted to take. Her parents accepted her choice with the simple thought that if she was happy then they would also be happy.

The intense ice mass forms in the year 235 made her question her intentions of potentially being out on those dangerous seas and having to negotiate icebergs and other obstacles, mostly during the winter, but she swiftly pushed those thought to the side when she realised there was no other job for her, this is what she wanted to do and not even the biggest icebergs could stop her from achieving her dream!

These days Samantha I working her job as a Fisherwoman almost everyday. In fact she loves fishing so much that she does it in her spare time and has even tried to teach her parents a little of the trade (though they didn't take to it as well as Sam did). Well known in the fishing community for her determination to get the job done and for always having a smile on her face and brightening up the day of those working in the same industry.

His smile grew wider in response to what Blair said. His paws shuffled awkwardly as he mulled things over in his head.
There was a slightly awkward pause as the two cats stood by each other watching the sun beginning to set over the landscape, illuminating their surroundings with warm orange light. It reminded Saevio of the first time the two met and he started to remember how beautiful Blair looked then, and sure enough not a thing had changed. If anything she was even more stunning than before as the evening light danced over her pelt. After a minute or so he finally spoke up, "Seems familiar don't you think", his tail started to curl a little around Blair's body as the two sat net to each other admiring the scene before them.

Saevio had been things over these past weeks and he had an important question he wanted to ask Blair. He took a deep breath before speaking softly, "Hey Blair? I... um..." he struggled to piece together the words he was after as if it felt like he was losing control of his tongue, "I've been wanting to ask you something for a while now".
