Did this one just for fun. Started as a brain dump/ doodle that turned into lighting practice before becoming a speed paint... or something. Whatever. All I know is I'm happy with the result, and I learned a thing or two in the process. I'm happy with that.For those wondering, yeah, that guy with a sniper rifle is a quarian, and yes, that bioluminescent monstrocity in the background is a thresher maw. If you've played Mass Effect, you should know what those are.
Basic idea behind the picture? Quarians go on pilgrimage to bring back resources to the Migrant Fleet, but more importantly, to show they are willing to give of themselves for the greater good. This particular quarian plans on joining the Migrant Fleet Marines. His Pilgrimage Gift? The corpse of a massive worm like predator that Alliance military tactics say should never be engaged without heavy tanks, and even then with severe casualties. This guy is gonna do it alone. With a rifle. On foot.
Wrex would be proud.

Taking down the Thresher Maw on foot in Mass Effect 2 gave me the biggest feeling of fuck yeah at that point in the series, just due to the amount of those bastards that destroyed my Mako in the first game.

Really cool! I have been looking for different styles of others Quarians and have been designing my own for the past 8 months. I really like they way you drew this the style of the hood is what I like the most. Do you mind if I use that type of hood for my Quarian? Anyways keep up the good job man you did an Spectacular job!

Heh, I noticed the same thing half way through the picture. I wanted it to look more or less similar to the Mantis from ME2, but oh well. Wasn't going for accuracy. Besides, the Battle Rifle is the shit.

I was thinking about the various things quarians might bring back... ships, resources... and started wondering what quarians who wanted to be Marines would bring back. Weapons... Logistics data...
