This is so cool. How much fabric did you use? And the neck is there any wire frame or is it sewn to the body with no frame? Thanks

Thanks! From memory, I used around 2mx1.5m of medium white fur and 0.5x1m of thick white fur (her neck, tail etc), with some remnants. The neck has an internal rope attached to the head and some padding for bulk, but no wire.

Okay, so for the joints and ear swivels did you buy them like that or build them yourself? If you made them ,what materials did you use?

Question: where was the entry for your arm into the puppet. You didn't mention it. Just a bit curious. Was it from below in the belly or above?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Risachantag In reply to phishbon3s [2012-02-01 02:03:39 +0000 UTC]

There's a couple of flaps in her side, one where the spiral is and one under the arm. The thick fur hides these really well.

I was going to ask if you made the teeth yourself. A taxidermy jaw set! It really adds to the realism

I admire your craftsmanship with the fur, it couldn't have been easy!

Wow... Thanks for uploading this!! I'm so gonna try to make it... eventually... if I can... and when I can afford to buy materials... and have the time... so in other words, I'll make it maybe 10 years!!! But thanks, can't wait to see about the body!!

Risachantag In reply to WaterFaerieNaomi [2011-12-29 02:56:13 +0000 UTC]

She has a tongue, I made it out of paper clay rather than buying one, as the taxidermy ones didn't look right. You can see it in the shot where I attach the cheeks.
