Another entry? Yep. I did a number of thumbnails before I started drawing my first entry (some of them are online here: [link] ), but I liked two of them, so I decided I'd do both if I had time. ...and I've been at home, sick with a cold, so I ended up finishing it yesterday.I guess it's a rather random concept; a human-form Amaterasu and a rather familiar looking puppy. I've wanted to do something with a round archway for a while; perhaps it's more of a Chinese thing, but I've seen them in Japanese gardens too.
There have been some fantastic entries for the competition so far! I really don't care if I win anything or not, I'm just happy there are so many gorgeous Okami pictures to look at!

MAGNIFICENT!
When I look at Ami as a wolf, I would usually imagine that she's more like a beast infused with powers of a deity, but never stop to wonder what she really looked like before she took on her lupine personna.
Your picture captures a remarkable depiction of what she really is!
To the right is the vessel of her very being, what mortals usually see. But to the left is the essence of who she is, the deity she truly is beneath the fur and fangs. What's more, she resembles a kind of mother whose scruffy long hair make her all the more lovable.

I'm just realising this but I bought a print of this 2-3 years ago at Smash and I didn't know you were the artist of it. Which means I possibly met you back then but didn't know it...FFFUUU- I only discovered this now 3 years later *Facepalms*. It's still on my wall btw :3
