We are all just trying to find some colors to paint this boring black and white world. An array of reds, blues, greens, pinks, purples, silvers, oranges, blacks, and so many more. (Y/n) loved colors, she loved bringing a story to life with vibrant paints and describing words with splashes of color.

And perhaps that is why she enjoyed Law's company.

A pirate-no, that wasn't right. A doctor, a man of many colors, that is who law was. There wasn't one single color in the world that could describe him exactly, and that is why she enjoyed him so much.

He was never boring, always suprising her. He was unpredictable, despite being a calm and logical man. And even though he was a pirate, a man who had been known to be monstrous and cruel, Law's heart was big and loving.

Deep down, Law cared strongly for each and every on of his crew members. Perhaps that is why they all cared so strongly about him in return. But, no matter the reason, they all would follow Law to the very depths of hell and back. Law was their beloved Captain, their idol, and their friend.

And today, with a silent face speaking only of tragedy and pain, Law seemed to be deep in thought. It was this very day, every single year, that all of the heart pirates decided to stay away from Law. For on this very same day, Law's heart seemed completely detatched from the rest of him.

But (Y/n) couldn't stand it, the pain and the grief she could see in those grey blue eyes brought tears to her own (e/c) eyes.

Sitting down next to him, the tall man didn't even spare her a glance for he already knew exactly who was next to him. He could not mistake her striking (e/c) or shining (h/l) (H/c).

No words where spoken, no words needed to be. It was a comfortable silence between the two, (Y/n)'s face matching the solemn face of her captain. She glanced at him, but looked back down at her hands.

No, she would say nothing. She couldn't say anything to comfort him, because she knew it would only make him feel worse. What he needed was for someone to be there, to support him, to listen. He didn't need someone to run their mouth, he needed a calming presence to pull him through when the darkness tried to swallow him whole.

So gently, she wrapped her arms around his larger form, he gave no fight. Leaning into her warmth, enjoying the sensation of a soft and warm body enveloping his own. And for once, Law closed his eyes and allowed all the pain to be clear to the woman before him. He cried into her embrace, enclosed in her comforting presence.
